Effectiveness of rescue operations during disaster in Chorzów was associated with proper coordination of medical rescue activities by the Centre of Medical Rescue Coordination. Medical rescue system should include all areas of rescue services and also education of civilians. Everybody has to know how to react when people need a medical help.
