The EU Carpathex exercises served multiple purposes: they were to prepare us to accept international help, verify cooperation with neighboring countries and, finally, to help us in preparations for the 2012 Euro Championships. Very Probable Game
Preparing any exercises involves specification of general guidelines and choice of the location of the exercises. When these two elements are specified, it is possible to start preparation of a scenario, consisting always of a prognosis and simulation. CBRN Threats
The EU Carpathex 2011 project included a two-day technical seminar devoted to the CBRN threats (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear). The seminar was attended by experts from the European Union, Ukraine, the United States and the representatives of the Polish state institutions interested in the field - the Border Guards, the Police, the Polish Army and the Polish Red Cross. Although this year the Main School of Fire Service celebrates the 40th anniversary of the fire service higher education and 10th anniversary of the Faculty of Civil Safety Engineering the beginning of the fire service schools dates back to 1937, when the National Fire Service Training Center was created.
